Is this the official Texas State Parks app?
No. State Park Travelers Guide is an independent guide made by GBY Media LLC. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Every park page links to the park's official TPWD page, which has the latest alerts and closures.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your favorites, notes and visited parks are saved on your phone.
Does it work without cell signal?
Yes. Every park and its details are built into the app, so you can browse them with no connection. Photos, maps and official pages need a connection to load.
Why does the app ask for my location?
To show parks near you and to check you in when you're at a park. It's only used while the app is open and never leaves your phone. You can say no, and the app still works.
Can I book a campsite or day pass in the app?
No. The Reserve button opens the park's page on the official Texas State Parks reservation site, where you book and pay.
What does a subscription add, and what does it cost?
The core guide is free. A subscription unlocks extra features, which are listed with the current price on the subscription screen in the app before you buy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose State Park Travelers Guide. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I bought a subscription but the app doesn’t show it. What do I do?
Open the More tab, tap Subscription, then Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy. If it still doesn't show, email us.
How do I delete my data?
Everything you save in the app is stored only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes it all. We don't hold an account or copy of your data.
Something in a park listing is wrong. How do I report it?
Email info@gbymedia.co with the park name and what needs fixing. We check park details against official sources and update them regularly.
