Atlanta State Park is on the south shore of Wright Patman Lake in the far northeast corner of Texas, shaded by tall pines and hardwoods. It's a fishing and lake park: swim at the designated area, boat and water-ski, and fish a reservoir TPWD says holds 75-pound catfish. The park rents canoes and kayaks.

Things to do

Fish from the shore or launch from one of two boat ramps. The park loans fishing tackle.

Swim and paddle
