San Angelo State Park sits on O.C. Fisher Reservoir and the Concho River next to San Angelo. It has 50 miles of multiuse trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, bison and longhorn paddocks, and a Dinosaur Trail past fossilized Permian-age trackways. The lake level varies, so check with the park before bringing a boat.

Things to do

Trails

The North and South units share 50 miles of trails open to hikers, bikers and riders unless marked. Kids like the two-mile Dinosaur Trail, which passes fossilized trackways of pre-dinosaur creatures.
